To those in the know, A Certain Ratio need no introduction.. to those yet to hear them, an adventure in genre-and-mind-bending music awaits. Heavily influential on bands such as Talking Heads and ESG, they bring their whole eclectic punk-funk show to this stunning Re-work of Jersey Street’s “Love Rising Up”, with nods towards Latin, Samba, Funk and Afrobeat, adding a full live percussion section to the rich strings and horns of the original.

Hot young producer Luis Sullivan also brings his fresh, yet classic, take on the track, joining the dots between Jersey Street’s Deep House roots and the jazzier inflections of their recent work. Luis takes the track to the dancefloor but still lets the vocals and instrumentation soar.
